This doll underwent a couple of changes before becoming Magnolia.
At first she was named White Cat by her maker, and came with the very unnatural body (above) which I quickly changed to the 2nd edition Monst body (below). This is how Magnolia looks now, all decked out in her 1920's costume, and not so much hair..
As you know her favourite colour is white (sometimes with a touch of pink) and this is exactly what I chose for her.
She looks much better now. More mature and sophisticated - and she knows, that she does :)!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Thank you Chiriann, I think Magnolia likes being thought of as sophisticated.
DeleteShe's lovely! A breath of fresh air! The drop waist dress is so pretty and I love the twin flowers!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jodi. I have been using the same pattern for the drop waist dress, just making minor alterations with the finishes. I debated whether to top sew where the frill joins the bodice, but as I was hand sewing them, decided against it. I have a feeling once I have my eye surgery on Thursday and can actually see what I've been sewing, I may regret my hand sewing. LOL!
DeleteThis 1920 look really suits the girls. So adorable. Hope your surgery went well!
ReplyDeleteIt's an easy style to emulate and it does seem to suit them. Surgery is this afternoon Mia, but I appreciate your thoughtfulness and will be glad when it's all over. 😘
DeleteKeeping my fingers crossed!
DeleteThank you, it went well and wasn't as scary as I imagined it to be.
DeleteLove this new look. She looks very sweet and delicate. Hope you are feeling well.
ReplyDeleteYes, it suits her personality perfectly. Yes, all recovered now, hope you are too.😘
