Marigold wasn't always called by that name, when she first arrived she was an IxDoll Hachichi Series Finding Acorn, with a body as stiff as a board.
Welcome ~
please feel free to explore, there's lots to discover and I hope you'll come back often.

Wednesday
Before 'n' After: Marigold
Before 'n' After: Violetta
Violetta isn't a true Monst doll, she came as an IxDoll Hachichi Series Paw Paw Monster, but I didn't like her body one bit . . . it was totally rigid and completely unable to pose.
Now she has a Monst body, she works well with the other "kids", even though she has a slightly larger noggin'.
Because of her big head I probably should have asked Vicky to make her hat larger, but didn't think of it at the time. Hence we made a slight lengthening of the brim with trim giving her cloche an overall different look to the others.
Monday
Before 'n' After: Primrose
Formerly known as Monst Savage Doll Little Bear, she soon became my sweet Primrose with a change of clothes. However, the clothes were not to remain as hers on a permanent basis.
As Primrose was to become a lady of substance in the 1920's and live in her own little cottage on Pudding Lane in Dartford, Kent.
And here she is today, wearing a pretty cotton drop waisted dress featuring roses in her favourite colour to match her stylish burgundy cloche hat.
Saturday
Before 'n' After: Holly
This was Holly in the beginning, very cute and well dressed, but she was not the Holly I wanted.
I wanted a Holly who would fit with the story I wanted to write, so after s little sewing and millinery work, she now looks like she should.
Of course none of my girls would look right without the help of Vicky's crocheted base cloche.
Thursday
Before 'n' After: Lily and Rose
I have two Monst Chou Chou dolls, one who I named Lily and the other I called Rose. Below is their before photo.
Lily still has her hair, but for exactly how long is anyone's guess.
Rose has had her hair attended to and looks much better for it now her fringe (bangs) is straight.
Once again, the base cloche hats were crocheted by Vicky, I just added the trimmings.
Sunday
Before 'n' After: Magnolia
This doll underwent a couple of changes before becoming Magnolia.
Friday
Before 'n' After: Heather
This time I wasn't sure about cutting Heather's hair, so I'm still sitting on the fence about that. Perhaps I will shorten it a little and figure out a way to style it into a Faux Bob in some way.
Heather (Little Rabbit) looked cute enough in her rabbit outfit, but it was not what I wanted for this girl, (or any of my Monst Joint Dolls for that matter) . . . so here she is in all her finery.
Once again Vicky provided me with the base cloche and I decorated it to match her pretty rose printed cream dress.
I really like this shot of Heather showing her tiny turned up nose and sidewards glancing eyes.
Wednesday
Before 'n' After: Ivy
A little snip here and there with the scissors to give her a Boyish Bob . . .
and a new 1920's summer day wardrobe, consisting of a drop waist dress and the ubiquitous cloche hat (with the help of my friend Vicky who crocheted the millinery base for me).
We now have Ivy dressed in her favourite colour and ready for a day out and about.
