Nili 3 is Home at Last

Nili arrived just a few moments ago and I couldn't wait to share her with you. It's been a long trip for Nili, first from Germany to England, then to Australia via a week's stop over in Belgium.

Nili is a limited edition of 25 dolls worldwide and stands 65cm tall. She has a complete phthalate-free vinyl body, which is fully jointed so she can be posed in various positions. Her vinyl colour is cappuccino, she has beautiful olive green hand blown Laucha glass eyes and her face has been painted by her designer, Nicole Marschollek-Menzner.

Nili wears white underpants, black stockings, a lovely floral dress with needle felted flowers attached and real black leather shoes. The dress buttons up the back (NO VELCRO ON THIS DOLL!).

In this last photo she is standing on top of my printer. Unfortunately my photography using my phone is not doing her justice, because she really is a stunning doll. I will endeavour to take more photos with my camera later.

Today's Arrival

Much to my surprise my Monst doll arrived this morning, 20 days ahead of it's predicted date.

Apart from the name on the front of the box, this was the only thing written in English. Reading "Inedible" under the precautions made me laugh.

Inside the box was the doll in a plastic cocoon and another box which contained her clothes. Simple packaging which kept her safe during her travels.

Her hair was soft, but really quite messy, though I think given a little time it will settle down. It's a very pretty shade of red, almost as burgundy as her socks, but not quite.

Her clothes are quaint, but having that dreaded Velcro I fear they will all stay in their box. I will use the socks though, they fit her perfectly and cover her knees.

I have given her the name Primrose which is in keeping with my other "Non Specific" dolls Petunia & Magnolia and my "IxDoll" beauties Violetta & Marigold.

I do love the body on this doll, so many joints and stable ones at that. She can sit beautifully with her legs together and her head can be moved up and down as well as side to side. When I have redressed her I'll share more pics.

For a full review of these dolls, pop on over to Emily's blog, she does it better than anyone I know on the net!

Toki After

Well without a word from Fairyland, my full set Toki arrived along with his sleeping plate with face-up.

Although I loved Toki as he was, I really needed someone to become Linaria, so with a quick change of lower body and the addition of a few items that had been waiting especially for her, here she is!

Li (Linaria) ~ Charming, delicate and graceful best describe this one. Although she is quite tall, Li looks a little fragile, but don't be misled, she comes from hardy stock. Li spends a lot of time in the sunshine and enjoys wearing bright, strong colours, her favourite colour being pink!

Toki Before

When I saw Toki on Fairyland's website I immediately new he would be coming home. Fortunately hubby liked him too, so it was soon agreed that he would be my Christmas present this year.

Photo of the Toki full set with upgraded eyes, which hubby is purchasing for me, though Toki's sleeping plate, shoes and axe will come unpainted.

Of course Toki doesn't know he will end up a SHE and a fairy to boot!

Bisou in Pink

After a longer than expected wait for her arrival, my Fairyland Bisou finally came yesterday. No fault of her previous owner, I might add. The doll was in Oz on the 12th, but for some unknown reason it took 6 days to get from one side of Melbourne to the other. Her previous owner was kind enough to send her with eyes, hair and dress, but I had something special planned for this little one.

The wig is one of the new ones I ordered from Leekeworld (LR092) in Lavender Rose, the shoes I bought from eBay, the dress &undies I made, and the cardi was from Etsy quite some time ago.

Not sure whether to keep the eyes she has (they're a sort of green/grey) or try for another colour, perhaps something a little lighter.
