Listed here are all dolls which I have owned and loved at one point in time, then sent off to new homes to make space for new arrivals.
I never intended to collect dolls at all. I really mean NOT EVER! I was a teddy bear collector all my life! I had spent sixteen years designing, teaching and making teddy bears the traditional way, by hand. Looking back, I cannot remember exactly how the doll collecting all began now, but if my recollections are correct, I can blame it all on Blythe and the few lessons I took to learn how to customise them.
That initial purchase of a single Blythe doll, turned into twenty seven, many of which I redressed or customised, some were given new names, others were simply sold on with the name they came with. I kept just two.

For some unknown reason, I seem to progress from one type of doll to another, which means my collection is very eclectic and most of the time, I find it hard to part with any of them. However, there are some exceptions.
MADAME ALEXANDER
Pink Renoir
I took quite a fancy to the Disney Animator dolls for a little while, but they just take up far too much shelf space, so they slowly disappeared from my collection. I don't dislike them, I still think they are cute and they're a good size to knit and sew for.
DISNEY ANIMATOR
Tinkerbell, Tiana, Belle
PROJECT MC²
I had several dolls which there was just one of, they were pretty, but not really what I wanted to collect more of. I also needed make room for those I did want to collect further, so off they went to new homes.
ZAPF

Noa Pirris
AUSTRALIAN GIRL
MARU & FRIENDS

My biggest regret after selling a doll was when I sold my beautiful red haired Katie. I was made an offer, which it seemed at the time, too good to refuse, but it was a huge mistake.
Every time I see a photo of a red haired Katie on the internet I feel sad. Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to see one for sale, then I can buy her back. I hope so.
